Bingsoo Hotspot 11 🍧:
V Lounge, Canley Heights

V Lounge is a popular café at Canley Heights with a diverse menu. They are consistent in updating their menu to feature more trendy desserts and food 🤩

Location and Ambience

V Lounge is located on Canley Vale Rd of Canley Heights. It is located near the end of the road, opposite of the petrol station 🧐

V Lounge is a medium sized cafe with a few seating inside the store and more seating available outside. It is usually pretty busy and popular among the younger audience. The café has a relaxing ambience with turquoise booth seating available inside. There are also more spacious seating outside the café 😊

How to Order, Setup of the Café and Price

Due to COVID, there are safety precautions that cafés must abide by. Thus, upon entering V Lounge, you must scan the QR code outside the café and check-in. Once you check-in, the staff will guide you to your seating or you may choose to sit in any available seating. As mentioned in the earlier paragraph, there are seating available inside and a few outside seating with couches.

There is also a potential risk of transmission by handing out the menu to every customer visiting the café. Hence, V Lounge has another QR code on the table that customers can scan to view the menu 😲. Once you finish viewing the menu, you can order at the counter and pay after you finish your meal or dessert 😄. I decided to order the Matcha and Mochi Bingsoo which cost $16 🍵🍡

As mentioned earlier, V Lounge also has a wide range of aesthetic food and drinks on their menu. They also have other Bingsoo flavours including taro Oreo and watermelon strawberry 😊.

Matcha Kit Kat and mini mochi 🍵🍡😝

Bingsoo Presentation

The Matcha and Mochi Bingsoo at V Lounge was very tall (hence the title ‘mountain of matcha’ 😄). The mountain of matcha was placed in a hollow glass bowl on top of a pretty marbled blue plate. A dollop of whipped cream was then positioned on top of the Bingsoo (it was not very aesthetically appealing 😅). The Bingsoo was also surrounded by an equal proportion of broken Matcha Kit Kat and a combination of pink and white mini mochi pieces 🤤

Bingsoo Taste

After viewing so many pictures of the Matcha and Mochi Bingsoo on Instagram, I somehow had a high expectation that it would have a strong matcha flavour 😕. Expectations aside, let’s explore the actual Bingsoo taste! 😝

The Matcha and Mochi Bingsoo definitely had a very subtle and light matcha flavour to it. The Bingsoo was so finely desiccated that made it easily melt in your mouth on the first bite. The Matcha Bingsoo had a slight milky flavour that seemingly overpowered the matcha flavour. Thankfully, the generous serving of Matcha Kit Kat intensified the matcha flavour in this dessert! 😌 I never actually realised how strong the matcha flavour was in a Kit Kat until eating it along with the Matcha Bingsoo 😂 (No offense intended! Some ingredients compliment others 😉).

The Matcha Kit Kat added the crunch factor, and it had the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Along with this, the mini mochi was chewy and had a delicate sweetness to it 🍡😊. Now to the whipped cream…😅 Although the placement of the whipped cream was not very appealing; the whipped cream itself had a subtle sweetness and creaminess to it!

Overall, the combination of the Matcha Kit Kat and the Matcha Bingsoo created a burst of the matcha flavour that I would not have gotten with the Matcha Bingsoo itself 😔. There was plenty of mini mochi that gave a nice chew to the dessert 😋

So, if you want a generous tall serving of Matcha and Mochi Bingsoo that may have a very light matcha flavour (according to my palate 😅), visit V Lounge 😃.
