Bingsoo Hotspot 6 (pt.1) 🍧:
Sweety and Sweet Café, Lidcombe

A pretty café that has a variety of delicious food, drinks, and desserts 🌸. You can head over to Sweety and Sweet café after lunch or dinner to chill and eat desserts 😊.

Location and Ambience

Sweety and Sweet Café is a popular café located on Joseph St. It is also approximately a 2 minutes’ walk from Lidcombe station. You will be able to notice the café from the decorative yellow tiles surrounding the entrance.

The café is medium sized with a few tables near the entrance and more tables available when you walk further into the café. There is also more seating on the second level of Sweety and Sweet Café. The menu board  is located above the counter, whereas, the cake display is beside the counter.

How to Order, Setup of the Café and Price

The café has a comfortable atmosphere, it is a nice place to sit down to study or chat with a friend 😊. It seemingly has a cozy feel to it, maybe because of the homey lighting? 💡🤔

Like many other cafés, you should pay at the counter when you have decided on what you want to order, and you will receive a table number stand. After you receive the number stand, you can find any available seating in the café and wait for your order 😊. I decided to opt for a new flavour of Bingsoo this time round and got strawberry 🍓! I believe it was $13 when I had ordered it 🧐

There are many other flavours of Bingsoo that you can try out at the café including mango cheesecake, tiramisu, Oreo and red beans 😌

Strawberry Bingsoo 🍓🍨 (Angle 2😅)

Bingsoo Presentation

YAY to stainless steel bowls again! 😂

The fine pieces of milk Bingsoo entirely filled up the bowl. It almost looked like a pile of snow in a bowl 😍. There was a drizzle of strawberry syrup on the mountain of Bingsoo and half a strawberry on top 🍓

The staff also provided us with a small bowl of strawberry syrup with strawberry bits that we could pour on top of the Bingsoo 🥰

Bingsoo Taste

The milk Bingsoo with the slight drizzle of strawberry syrup on top tasted like vanilla ice cream with a hint of strawberry that quickly melted in your mouth. However, when I added the extra side of strawberries and syrup… WOW, it tasted incredible 🤤!  (The strawberry syrup with strawberry bits was the missing puzzle piece 🧩 😂). The addition of the extra strawberries and syrup enhanced the flavour of the Bingsoo and added that significant strawberry flavour. The Strawberry Bingsoo was ultimately sweet but had a fruitful tang to it 🥰

The Strawberry Bingsoo was obviously completed quickly between two people because it was rather small 😂. I cannot stress this enough, but the strawberry syrup and strawberry bits tasted like heaven 🤤. Some would expect it to taste extremely sweet because the strawberries must have been filled with sugar to produce the syrup. However, the slight sourness from the strawberries still came through which made the strawberries and syrup taste so addicting on top of the Bingsoo 😝

So, if you want to try a fruity Bingsoo flavour, I suggest giving the Strawberry Bingsoo at Sweety and Sweet Café a try 😉

Bingsoo Rating

This Bingsoo rating will be out of 5 stars based on my personal preferences and experience 😏. I will outline the common attributes and quality that I look for in Bingsoo and rate it.

Bingsoo Flavour:
⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️/ 5

I loved the balance of flavours in this Bingsoo. The strawberries and syrup intensified the strawberry flavour in the Bingsoo. It made the Bingsoo have a more organic strawberry flavour 🍓

Bingsoo Presentation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 /5
The Bingsoo looked extremely aesthetic with the contrasting colours. The pure white of the milk Bingsoo with a tinge of pink from strawberry syrup and the red strawberry on top 😍.

Bingsoo Ingredients:
⭐️⭐️
⭐️.75 /5
The Strawberry Bingsoo was kind of small. However, the staff were generous with the ingredients given that they loaded up the bowl with milk Bingsoo and gave an extra side of strawberries and syrup 😊.

Bingsoo Melting Point:
⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️ /5
The Strawberry Bingsoo did not melt significantly fast. This may be due to the weather or how fast we consumed it 😂
